UK-based rugged hardware vendor, TouchStar Technologies, is pleased to announce that Tileasy, one of the UK’s leading trade supplier of tiling tools and accessories, has recently made the decision to upgrade their rugged mobile terminals with the TS82, TouchStar’s latest android handheld.

The new hardware rollout follows a period of growth and investment at Tileasy. Having recently upgraded their IT software, the decision to roll out TouchStar’s in-house manufactured TS82 handheld was taken with the objective of providing a futureproof hardware solution to support their picking operations.

With a high level of expertise within the logistics sector, TouchStar have over 30 years real world experience in the integration, installation and support of data capture systems into leading warehouse and distribution operations. In this period, TouchStar have been supported Tileasy’s picking operation for over 10 years. The new devices are set to be integrated with Tileasy’s new paperless stock control and order system, designed to deliver speed, efficiency and accuracy within the operation.

Powered by the latest high-speed processor technology and the next generation in mobile operating systems – Android, the TS82 is perfect for warehouse and logistics-based applications. With it’s rugged credentials, from high impact polycarbonate plastics through to its metal alloy chassis and use of Sorbothane® rubber shock absorbers, the TS82 provides an extremely reliable solution and prolonged life within robust environments.
